Hello and welcome to my website. I’m a small-time author who is busy writing sixteen novels.
For upcoming and current novels, check the Books link in the top right.
My sixth novel, For Those Who Resist, is available on Amazon.
A brief synopsis:
Kilometers tall and looming menacingly over the surrounding landscape, the Spire is an ancient and ominous structure. Power courses through it from the thousands of graknium engines burning day and night. Rusted metal walls and ceilings contain a society that long ago lost its connection with the outside world.
Lush and prosperous, the upper tiers above the smoke layer are inhabited by the goldenites. Their lives are full of mindless hedonistic pleasures and comfort. Through their proxies, the Uboraj, they maintain their domination of the Spire.
Saturated with the smoke and sludge byproducts of graknium, the lower tiers contain the grayling masses. They toil everyday, risking life and limb so that their short and painful lives can contribute to keeping the Spire functioning forevermore.
As the child of a goldenite and a grayling, Rell is a half-breed. Forced to live on the lowest tier because of their status as pariahs in the grayling community, she and her family struggle every day just to survive.
Then tragedy strikes, and Rell's life is torn apart. Through sheer chance, she ends up in the care of an old grayling man who forces her to accept the role of the vigilante he once was: the Whisper.
Driven by revenge, equipped with dangerous gadgets, and trained to be a weapon unlike any seen before, the Whisper returns to the Spire, intent on finally freeing the graylings from goldenite rule once and for all.
Nonetheless, dark questions still surround her quest. What really is the Spire? Why was her family targeted? Is there any realistic way forward to victory for those who resist? Or will the deadly new weapon of the goldenites destroy the Whisper and her upstart rebellion before it even begins?
My fifth novel, A Mélange of Madness, is available on Amazon.
A brief synopsis:
Four tales of monsters and madness:
• A young woman on a journey west becomes imprisoned in a town where each night brings insanity and death.
• A conspiracy theorist discovers the sinister and supernatural secret of a presidential candidate.
• A Soviet soldier trapped in the siege of Leningrad finally sees the true demons of the battlefield.
• A grave robber loots a treasure that carries an unstoppable curse.
My fourth novel, Before The End Comes, is available on Amazon. It is book three of A Cycle of Crystals, the fantasy trilogy that began with In This Crystal Sky.
A brief synopsis:
An ancient peril returns . . .
Bolstered by new allies, the unmasked shaper Yin has dark deeds she must still accomplish. Harnessing powers that the valiant defenders of the Million Isles never before knew she possessed, she races toward the last two barriers that prevent her sinister plan from coming to fruition.
Even though they were devastated by tragedy and are still reeling from war, the crew of the Windrunner must gather their strength and once more fly forth in an attempt to defy fate. Yet their list of allies grows thin, and their own fatigue and wounds could prove to be too much to overcome. Only by uncovering the secrets of the Cataclysm that occurred a thousand years before and finding out the true history of the Million Isles can Tevios and his friends hope to triumph over evil before the end comes.
My third novel, Must We Defy Fate, is available on Amazon. It is book two of A Cycle of Crystals, the fantasy trilogy that began with In This Crystal Sky.
A brief synopsis:
Tevios and the crew of the airship Windrunner race against time to stop Ulmassor before he can enact his murderous plan. Hot on their heels comes the vicious and powerful Alstadi warrior Kronn. He wants Tevios and Zakkroz for himself and will stop at nothing to catch them.
With the crew split apart, they must search for allies that could aid them, whether it is Cancrion, Torrencia, or potentially others. But who can be relied upon when horrible secrets are revealed and war appears inevitable? And what is the true goal of the masked shaper Yin?
Darkness looms and seems unstoppable, but some brave souls still dare to defy fate.
My second novel, In This Crystal Sky, is available on Amazon.
A brief synopsis:
The Million Isles float far above the surface of the world, held aloft by the strange interaction between the crystals under each island and the distant crystal ground.
The people there travel far and wide using airships or jumper gear pulled and pushed by that very same mystical connection between the crystals. Commerce flourishes as empires and city-states compete.
Sadly, there are some who are not part of the society of the million isles: the Marked. Everyone fears their unique power of being able to call forth golems from the ubiquitous crystals.
Tevios is one of the Marked. Born and sheltered away from the world, every day he dreams of leaving his home island, not believing that the words of caution expressed by his elders could be true. Surely others cannot hate the Marked as much as they claim.
Then the world comes knocking, and Tevios learns that some traditions exist for a reason. Forced to ally himself with a ragtag crew of thieves, he sets out on a quest to rescue what was stolen from him by mastering the powers he was born with and learning other valuable skills along the way.
Yet as he delves deeper into the dark secrets of the Million Isles, Tevios discovers something horrific that may very well spell the end of both his people and the entire world as well.
My first novel, What Winds Assail Us, is available on Amazon.
What Winds Assail Us follows Byron and Merana Tam, married starfighter pilots that have their brains taken out and placed into artificially-designed transhuman bodies that possess abilities beyond anything a normal person is capable of. Included in the suite of new organs and glands in their enhanced forms is a special organ that allows them to mentally connect to the technology of the Gava Collective—an alien race formerly defeated and exterminated by humanity. This technology is a series of interconnected and changeable polyhedrons that can emit energy for propulsion or weaponry. They can assume almost any shape, thereby creating a nearly infinite array of options for someone with enough imagination.
Yet their rebirth is into a time of tribulation. Earth has been destroyed by a hostile alien force. Forced to use their new bodies and abilities for war, they have no choice but to master them quickly. The technology of the Gavi must be harnessed to create the most deadly starfighters the galaxy has ever seen. Yet this connection comes at an unforeseen cost.
Joining the remnants of the human fleets, they confront and battle the main alien armada only to learn that the war might not be what it seems to be and that the true enemy could be someone or something else entirely.
